About Us

A unique, three-building complex of loft style dwellings, Gregory Commons Condominium Association is an historically rich, friendly and accessible community.

In 1923, pioneering businesswoman Sophie Blickman moved her manufacturing business from its original home, a Weehawken NJ garage, to nearby 518 Gregory Avenue. Her product line of pots and pans quickly expanded to include hospital equipment, and eventually to Biological Safety Cabinets that NASA used to bring back moon rocks.

In 1977 the S. Blickman factory moved out of Gregory Avenue and the building was converted into condominiums. Our Gregory Commons Condominium Association was founded.

Today the Gregory Commons maintains the historic feel of its industrial roots but with completely modern amenities. Organized around a spacious, multi-level courtyard, the properties feature a wide range of apartment layouts and sizes, from 660 sq. ft. studios to spacious townhouses and top-floor penthouses.

Many units have original 13-foot ceilings and ten-foot-tall windows. East-facing units have sweeping views of midtown Manhattan and the Hudson River.

Weehawken NJ is a quiet community spanning high cliffs and the Hudson River shoreline and abutted by Jersey City, Union City and Hoboken – all thriving neighbor communities. Known as the historic site of the Aaron Burr/Alexander Hamilton duel on July 11,1804, Weehawken is now a full-featured, extremely diverse city.

Dozens of shops and restaurants offering items from around the world are within walking distance of the Gregory Commons. Schools are highly rated, and there are five parks and playgrounds, including the sprawling Hudson River Interstate Walkway, close by.

There is a very easy and rapid commute to mid-town Manhattan via New Jersey Transit buses, private jitneys, or ferry. The Hudson-Bergen Light Rail provides a direct link to New Jersey Transit Trains. Newark International Airport is 20 minutes away.

Recreation opportunities include biking, walking, water sports, football, soccer, baseball and tennis. NY Giants/NJ Jets stadium is a 10 minute drive. The soon-to-be-opened American Dream Meadowlands Mall, located next to the stadium, will feature an indoor ski slope, an indoor water park, a year-around ice skating rink, as well as bountiful shopping and dining opportunities.

The Gregory Commons Condominium Association is multi generational, multi cultural, and pet friendly. Amenities include 24 hour concierge service, secured indoor parking, visitor parking, a spacious courtyard, fitness center, indoor pool, sauna, community room and storage lockers.
